Where to play chess in Petaling Jaya 4

Petaling Jaya is home to the one regular social chess meeting found in the Klang Valley: the Blitz Chess Meet Friends club, which plays every Saturday from three to six in the afternoon. An older page names a restaurant in Amcorp Mall as its meeting place, while the club’s directory entry says the latest venue is given on request, so ask before you go.

Tournament chess in the city follows the malls. Seventeen Mall held two championships in 2026, CMC Chess opened its Catur Bulan Kemerdekaan series at Paradigm Mall in August 2026 and lists individual and team events there for October, and the city council holds an open championship for the mayor’s cup in its civic hall, with editions in June 2025 and June 2026.
