Blitz (catur kilat) around Kuala Lumpur 10

Blitz around Kuala Lumpur comes in two shapes. One is the social game: the Blitz Chess Meet Friends club meets every Saturday afternoon in Petaling Jaya for quick games between players of all ages and levels, and membership costs nothing. The other is the blitz section of a tournament weekend.

DAT Chess Centre held a festival blitz championship at KL Gateway Mall during the Malaysian Chess Festival, the Grand Asian Chess Challenge closes with rapid and blitz at Universiti Malaya, and the Sunway and Taylor’s university championships both include blitz. APEX Chess and Chess Master Journey in Klang add blitz to some of their events, Summit USJ held a Merdeka blitz open, and the federation office in Seri Kembangan has held blitz on its event weekends.
